It is a fresh start to a new year! It is my hope that everyone in the Gowns and Gardens community is settling into the new goals and habits you have intended to create for 2025!

So much of who we are is based on our beliefs and values. What we hold dear to us frames so much of how we view life. The idea of independence is a great thing! I really appreciate independent people; they are often problem solvers, go after what they want, and have a level of comfort with themselves that lets them be who they really are, and allows others to be who they are as well. There are a lot of great things that go along with independence.
Oftentimes, we look at the bold and strong side of independence and forget about the soft side of independence. Healthy, balanced, femininity is embedded with independence. It is the ability to seek out the best, solve problems, and make things better based on the understanding and values that we have. Another intrinsic component of independence is the ability to grow and adapt.
As we gain more independence we also grow and adapt to new things. We mature and change, grow in and out of ideas and behaviors that shift our habits and ultimately who we are for the

better, if we are pursuing life with the right focus. Femininity encompasses so many attributes, which may be why it is so captivating, intriguing, and is as multifaceted as women are complex. Femininity is power. Welcome to the power of femininity!
